A writer’s sleep deprivation

The sky looked odd that night.

A haze had seemed to linger around my window frame.

I saw stars, but the more I tried to bring them into focus,

The farther away they fled.

My eyes blurred, but I’m not sure what from:

Sadness, awe, sleep deprivation?

Perhaps the latter was why the sky looked odd.

Writers see odd things when they’re up all night working.

I'm just another young writer hoping to get noticed in the world of publication. The majority of my time is put into writing novels, but I'm no stranger to journalism, playwriting, and critical essay's, too. I'm also the author of "The Little Paragons" which can be found on Amazon.com.
