A haiku about you

My inspiration.

My best friend and my soul mate.

The love of my life.

*I go through phases in poetry. I’m sure it isn’t hard to guess what phase I’m in now.*

It’s been awhile

But I won’t say I’ve missed you,

Not even a bit.

Vacation???

The Uram’s are finally on vacation for the first time in four years! Can you believe it! I mean, there’s a beach, new people, and we’re in a town that doesn’t appear to be from the prohibition era!

Hence, I’ve been tossing around different ideas on how to keep my blog chugging along while I’m distracted. Yes, I obviously brought my laptop with me, but knowing this family there may not be much time to write. Nonetheless, I’m hoping to be able to post an occasional haiku (like the good ol’ days).

Until then, happy blogging. You can hopefully look forward to some new poems and haikus 🙂

I could use a nap.

Perhaps some coffee instead?

Nah, a nap is best.

People are worth it.

Well… not all of them, of course,

But a few can be.

A haiku on life.

A poem on philosophy.

A life full of strife.

So little to write

And so little time to write.

The struggle is real.

I’m happier now,

Than I’ve ever been before.

I could skip with joy.

Four words changed the world,

And fueled the revolution.

Don’t forget to dream.

(Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day!)

I’m performing soon,

Yet, I don’t know my lines.

This is a problem.
